Epsom Coaches Group operates from one of the UK’s finest garage facilities located in Epsom,Surrey. The business is well located within easy access of the M25 and the three major London Airports.
Our facilities were rebuilt in 2010 and include a state-of-the vehicle repair and maintenance centre and accommodation for up to 130 PSV vehicles. The business has been on the site since 1971 and has seen the addition of three adjoining sites since then, giving a total coverage of two acres. The business is located in Roy Richmond Way, the road having been named after the second generation of the family that founded the business in 1920.
Our much admired facilities have enjoyed 100% independent audit compliance for Health and Safety for each of the last four years. We provide full access and facilities for the disabled. The office and public areas are fully air-conditioned and comply with the latest building standards.
The Company takes its responsibility to reduce carbon emissions seriously and reduces its impact on the environment by recycling water, using smart utility control, proximity lighting and eco friendly floodlighting using LED’s. Waste is recycled wherever possible, including used oil and metals. Our facilities include showers and clothes drying areas to encourage those wishing to cycle to work.
The site is designed to minimise vehicle movements and reversing, with a number plate recognition system to provide barrier entry control. Security measures include comprehensive CCTV coverage of the whole facility.
Booking Office and Reception
We welcome personal visitors and have a dedicated visitor’s car park at the front of the offices. We are also well served by public transport.
Departure Lounge and Heritage Centre
Our unique Departure Lounge has superb facilities for clients enjoying our “Home toHoliday” service. Refreshments, comfortable seating and audio visual displays ensure complete comfort. The Departure Lounge is also home to our Heritage Centre with fascinating displays depicting over 90 years in the business.
With in-house facilities we are fully equipped to provide the best training resource in the UK bus and coach industry.
Under the leadership of our Training Manager, the Training Centre includes a seminar room with full audio visual equipment together with smaller meeting rooms, including flat screen technology.
Sales and Administration
The Sales Office is the hub of our coach hire, day tour and holiday administration. Our sales team maintain contact with our clients from first enquiry through to the completion of their journey. The telephone is always answered personally at Epsom Coaches Group, 24 hours a day. Planning, finance and management are also carried out from here.
Operations Centre & Sales
At the heart of our daily activity is the Operations Centre which functions 24 hours a day using state-of-the-art vehicle tracking and IBUS control. This department is also responsible for the day to day supervision of our driving team.
Epsom Coaches Group staff enjoy “hotel” levels of amenities including a large rest room complete with full size pool table, dining area, a range of vending machines and dedicated locker facilities. A widescreen TV is available in the lounge area. The toilet facilities include those dedicated to the disabled, with showers and changing facilities also available. Tasteful use of hardwoods and ceramics together with soft furnishings and carpeting make off duty moments more restful and are dedicated to our most important asset, our people. We have staff car parking for over 70 cars and covered accommodation for cycles and motorcycles.
Our vehicle workshop facilities are the envy of the industry and provide the means to carry out repairs and maintenance on our fleet entirely in-house.
Our facilities include a six bay PSV Fleetcare Engineering Centre designed to accommodate the longest, tallest, single or double deck vehicles.

Our skilled body technicians carry out the repair and painting of our bus and coach fleet in superb conditions which include a full-sized oven-baked spray booth. Our in-house team can also apply special liveries and vinyl’s when required. Having these facilities enable us to maximise vehicle availability and reduce downtime, ensuring our clients get the right vehicle every time.
Our fleet facilities are complemented by our dedicated rest and locker facilities for our Engineering team, together with administrative support and a large in-house parts store, maintaining an inventory of over £150,000 worth of vehicle parts. Over three week’s supply of fuel are stored on site together with plant rooms and bulk oil storage to complete the support structure for our fleet.
Washing and cleaning of our fleet is a key priority for us and our cleaning team tackle this important task working through the night to ensure the fleet is pristine for the next day’s operation. Our team operate from the Vehicle Valet Centre which houses our automatic vehicle wash along with a computerised chassis wash facility, thus ensuring even the parts of the vehicle you can’t see are clean! Complimenting these facilities are a high pressure wash and a GPS controlled fuel monitoring system using high speed fuel pumps.
To ensure complete support, our site even has its own emergency generator able to provide the complete electrical requirements of the site in the event of grid failure. The site is also served by two separate water and gas main supplies to ensure continuity of service.
